Just before our friends arrived from Auckland we popped out for lunch at the highly recommended Flight Park cafe and OMG! This place was amazing. The food was great, there was stuff for the boys to do and the views were amazing. They even had para gliders, I think that's what they called, practicing and dropping in on the happy face. We will be coming here again! The freshly made jam was incredible according to Oli.

Murdoch Park
A two minute walk from our house is Murdoch Park, a great place to meet locals and send annoying children! There isn't a lot there but it's enough to keep three boys entertained, although they nearly trashed the place with there testosteroned enthusiasm! They were swinging a little too vigorously and the whole play area started to move and we got the glare from a couple of parents with smaller children. Best to send them alone from now on.

Surrounding Area of Arthurs Point
One of the main reasons we choose Arthurs Point was to have a bit of distance from the school and Queenstown. It's a small town where everyone knows your name which is fantastic but also it can be a little overwhelming at times. Arthurs Point is only 5 mins drive to Queenstown but feels like an hour as it so rural and my school is about 10 mins away so that's not too bad either.
There are two routes to QT and one is more quiet, picturesque and longer, hence the photos. Please note Tom took some of the photos, he is very proud of them particularly the one with the gate.

5 Thomas Lane
We are finally in! On the Friday we spent the day driving back and forth carrying lots of boxes, fun on the first four or five trips but started to get a little tiresome after that. However, we more or a less emptied our rental of boxes which meant our removal guys only had the main furniture to do. The snails, the boys christened them, took three trips and seven hours to move it! Nothing got broke so we can't complain too much, it just feels great to be here. The bottom photo is where we/I will be chopping wood!

Alex is 11
You may have noticed a theme with Alex's birthday. He gets the shakes if he hasn't seen an episode in the last 24 hours, scary. Alex has now sucked his little brothers into it, Oli took longer but he is obsessed now too.
What really scares me is how every detail or character is debated by them all, they even pause it so 'they can fully discuss it!'

Walnut Cottage
Time for lunch. The cottage is about 10 mins drive from Frankton and its about another 5 mins to Arrowtown from there. A child in my class recommended it for its natural beauty! We were not let down. On our arrival we instantly thought of Nanna, Poppy, Colin and June, they would love it. Very peaceful and great food, the burgers are particularly yummy! Oli loved collecting walnuts from around the trees.
